Day 1: Transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
Day 2: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Joining our program, your knowledgeable tour guide will collect you from the hotel, equipped with a picnic lunch box, initiating an extraordinary excursion to Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is renowned for its varied terrain, hosting nine distinct vegetation zones. The park’s standout feature is its ancient Baobab trees, towering over the landscape and creating a striking backdrop for observing wildlife. Teeming with diverse species, from numerous bird varieties to majestic lions, stealthy leopards, and graceful giraffes, Tarangire also boasts the largest concentration of elephants in the country. Witness unique opportunities to observe elephant families interacting amidst the park’s picturesque river setting.
During lunchtime, enjoy a captivating experience at the park’s observatory, offering unparalleled views of the river and wildlife, with the possibility of witnessing a hunt. In the afternoon, our adventure continues with further game drives before concluding the day’s explorations
Day 3: Ngorongoro conservation Area
Following breakfast, your tour guide driver will rendezvous with you, equipped with picnic lunch boxes, as you embark on a journey to Ngorongoro for an exhilarating game drive within the crater.
Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural marvels, boasts the distinction of being the largest uninterrupted caldera globally. Home to approximately 30,000 large mammals year-round, it offers rare sightings of the elusive Black Rhino. The crater’s diverse habitats include a river, swamps, a soda lake adorned with flamingos, dense forests, and vast open plains. Renowned for its magnificent elephants, boasting the world’s largest tusks, the crater is also a haven for numerous other species, including buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, and a plethora of birdlife such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Ngorongoro Crater stands as a testament to the wonders of the natural world, promising an unforgettable wildlife spectacle within its boundaries.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park to Kilimanjaro Airport
Following breakfast, set out for Lake Manyara National Park for an exhilarating day of game drives, with lunch boxes in tow.
Lake Manyara National Park is renowned for its unique attractions, notably its arboreal lions, often found lounging in the branches of trees, and the abundant baboon colonies that traverse the forest, providing delightful company along the park’s roads.
Despite its modest size, spanning 205 square miles, the park offers breathtaking vistas, featuring lush acacia forests, towering figs, and majestic mahogany trees. Home to a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys, Lake Manyara also hosts a diverse array of permanent residents, including giraffes, elephants, impalas, and large herds of buffaloes. The park’s namesake lake serves as a sanctuary for a multitude of hippos, adding to its allure.
